New lift installation for a chain of care homes

passenger lift

Solution: New Lift Installation with Complete Project Management

Customer: A Care Home part of a national chain

Location: Liverpool, Merseyside

Client Requirement

The care home had an existing lift that was ‘out of service’. The client required a refurbishment or a new lift in order to meet current standards. The care home team didn’t have the time or experience to manage the project themselves, so required a quotation that included the necessary building work, as well as the lift itself.  The passenger lift needed to include a large cabin depth, as well ass aces restriction rights on certain floors.

Service Provided

After a site audit, we considered refurbishment as well as a new lift solution.  The refurbishment was not an option due to the cost implications associated with the size change in the shaft and the age and availability of some of the original components.

A new lift was quoted including removal of the old lift and installation, and after engaging our building partner we also quoted for the works to be carried out on the structure, pit, scaffolding and décor finish.

The full solution was managed over an 8-week period and the lift was handed over with new décor, testing and training.  Maintenance was included for the first 12 months and the client has decided to continue with our maintenance service in subsequent years.
